Hanok School was established in 2004 and currently operates as a lifelong education institution affiliated with Hwacheon County Office, nurturing Korean traditional woodworking craftsmen and serving as a space to inherit traditional culture. The facility area is 1,300 pyeong, with a 400-pyeong parking lot, including five wooden Hanok buildings and two steel frame practice buildings totaling about 370 pyeong. Anyone aged 19 or older can enroll, with registration and application periods according to school announcements. The regular curriculum includes a carpentry class to design and build Hanok houses and a small woodworking class producing traditional window frames and furniture. The school also offers Hanok experience programs, hanji wallpaper, and construction technology dissemination projects. Admission costs are relatively inexpensive compared to nationwide standards, and anyone 19 or older can enroll. Some Hanok buildings on campus were made by students, and some operate as Hanok pensions.
