Introduction

Cafe 1946, a tranquil hanok located at the foot of Geomamsan, is named after the old house built in 1946 that was renovated for the cafe. It is a place where you can feel the beauty of hanok and its peaceful atmosphere. There is an outdoor terrace and a wooden porch, which gets crowded with people wanting to sit on the porch on nice days. The cafe is divided into the main building, sarangchae, and a small annex. Orders are placed at the main building. For safety reasons, the outdoor garden and porch drinks are served in disposable cups. All coffee menu items come with two shots, so if you prefer a milder coffee, be sure to let them know before ordering. Besides coffee, handmade jujube tea, ginger tea, passion fruit tea, and lemon tea are available, and the showcase includes drinks for children, making it great for visiting with kids. The summer-limited old-fashioned patbingsu is made with boiled red beans, offering a nostalgic taste reminiscent of the red bean dessert mothers used to make. There is a wide selection of drinks including herbal and flower teas, and the sarangchae offers a more cozy atmosphere with floor seating. Nearby are Hamam Lotus Theme Park, Ip-gok Reservoir, and Ip-gok County Park, which are good to visit together. ※ Pets are allowed.
