Dalmaji-gil is a secluded trail filled with cherry trees and pine forests, located on the mid-slope of Wausan Mountain along the route from Haeundae Beach to Songjeong Beach. It is also called the '15 curves road' (15-gokdo) due to more than 15 bends and forms an 8 km drive course. Here, especially on the first full moon night of the lunar year, visitors can fully enjoy the atmosphere of the sea blended with moonlight. In the middle part of the trail (summit), Dalmaji Hill is formed, featuring a natural stone monument. Notably, in February 1997, the newly built Haewoljeong Pavilion (海月亭), constructed in the style of an old pavilion, enhances the picturesque atmosphere. The Millennium Commemorative Clock Tower, installed in January 2000, is also famous. (Source: Haeundae-gu Cultural Tourism Homepage)
Haeundae Beach boasts a wide white sandy shore and beautiful coastline, offering ideal conditions for swimming with shallow waters and gentle waves. It is the most iconic spot representing Busan, often the first place that comes to mind when thinking of the city, and it attracts the largest crowds in the country, especially during the summer vacation season. The coastline is lined with large and small buildings and luxury hotels, giving the beach a modern and sophisticated atmosphere. It is bustling with youthful energy year-round, not only in summer, and is well-known among international tourists. Every year, the beach hosts a full moon festival on the first full moon day of the lunar new year. Additionally, the annual Polar Bear Swimming Contest held in winter has established itself as a representative winter festival. Other events include sand art exhibitions and the Busan Sea Festival. Nearby attractions around the beach include Dongbaekseom Island, Oryukdo, an aquarium, yacht races, and Bexco Dalmaji Hill. ◎ Travel information to experience the charm of Hallyu - The drama features scenes where Nam-soon and her Mongolian mother create the word 'sea' in shells on the sand and enjoy taking pictures together.
With a total length of 7.4km, Gwangandaero, designated as Metropolitan City Road No. 66, connects Namcheon-dong in Suyeong-gu, Busan, from Square 49 to near Centum City in U-dong, Haeundae-gu. It is the largest double-deck sea-crossing bridge in Korea. Gwangandaero functions not only as a bridge but also offers magnificent views from its upper level, including the endless sea, Busan’s symbol Oryukdo Island appearing within reach, Hwangnyeongsan Mountain surrounding Gwangandaero, the charming Gwangalli Beach, Dongbaek Island, and Dalmaji Hill in Haeundae—all visible at a glance. Additionally, it is equipped with an artistic, state-of-the-art lighting system that produces diverse and brilliant colors depending on the day and season. Thanks to this scenic lighting, it has become a famous Busan landmark. By harmonizing with nearby natural tourist resources, it offers grandeur during the day and romantic, restful night views, making it a beloved tourist attraction.
