This is the tomb of King Gyeongae, the 55th king of Silla (reigned 924–927). King Gyeongae was the second son of King Shindeok and the younger brother of King Gyeongmyeong, succeeding him to the throne. When Wang Geon invaded Later Baekje, he sent troops to assist Goryeo. In 927, after performing a ritual at Poseokjeong and hosting a banquet, he was captured by Later Baekje's Gyeon Hwon, who launched a surprise attack, and he took his own life. The tomb is located inside a pine forest at the entrance of Samneung Valley. Part of the edge stone resembling a surround stone is partially exposed. Although it has not been excavated, the internal structure is presumed to be a stone chamber tomb.

이곳에는 신라 제8대 아달라왕(阿達羅王), 제53대 신덕왕(神德王), 제54대 경명왕(景明王)의 무덤이 한곳에 모여있어 삼릉이라 부른다. 능의 크기는 밑둘레 61m, 높이 5.8m, 지름 18m이다. 두 차례에 걸쳐 도굴을 당하여 1953년과 1963년에 내부가 조사되었다. 조사 결과 매장주체는 깬 돌로 쌓은 횡혈식 돌방[橫穴式石室]으로 밝혀졌다. 경명왕(재위 917∼927, 박승영)은 신덕왕의 아들로 고려 태조 왕건(王建)과 손잡고 견훤의 대야성(大耶城)공격을 물리쳤다. 중국 후당(後唐)과 외교를 맺으려 했으나 실패하였다. 능의 크기는 밑둘레 50m, 높이 4.5m, 지름 16m이다.

Gyeongju Gyocheon Village is the site of the 'Gukhak,' the first national university of Silla, established in the 2nd year of King Sinmun of Silla (682). This educational institution evolved over time, becoming the Hyanghak in the Goryeo period and later the Hyanggyo in the Joseon period. The village's names such as 'Gyodong,' 'Gyocheon,' and 'Gyori' all originate from the presence of the Hyanggyo. Around Gyocheon Village, numerous stories from the Samguk Yusa are hidden throughout the area. These include Gyerim, where Kim Al-ji was born; the site of Muncheon Bridge (蚊川橋) linking the love of Monk Wonhyo and Princess Yoseok; Jaemaejeong, where Kim Yushin lived; Woljeonggyo Bridge and tales of Monk Chungdam and Dohwa-nyeo; King Jinji's love stories; and Cheomseongdae created by Queen Seondeok. Gyocheon Village retains many traditional Hanok houses and the Hyanggyo centered around the Choi family mansion. Nearby valuable Silla heritage sites such as Wolseong, Woljeonggyo, Cheomseongdae, Gyerim, and ancient tombs make this a special place where Silla and Joseon culture coexist. The village has been newly restored and developed to preserve the original cultural heritage while serving as a tourist destination where visitors can enjoy the sites. The restoration of Woljeonggyo Bridge, the largest wooden bridge in Korea, allows visitors to experience the grandeur of traditional wooden architecture. At night, the bridge is illuminated with colorful lights, creating a popular nighttime sightseeing course for many tourists.

Yangdong Folk Village is Korea's largest traditional clan village preserving the culture and nature of the Joseon Dynasty, formed by the Wolseong Son and Yeogang Lee clans. Holding many cultural assets such as national treasures, treasures, and folk materials, the entire village is designated as a national folk cultural heritage site. Due to its size and preservation status, the number and authenticity of cultural assets, beautiful natural environment, and unspoiled local character, the village has many attractions; in 1993, Charles, Prince of Wales, visited this place. Additionally, 54 old houses over 200 years old have been preserved, reflecting the glorious traces of a renowned noble family and the lives of ancestors, offering a view of diverse and distinctive traditional Korean houses from mid-Joseon onward. It is recommended to familiarize yourself with the village layout, exploration course, and locate cultural assets beforehand. When touring the village, it is even better to be considerate and avoid causing inconvenience to the residents living in the houses.
