Pungyeongjeong is located on a hill along the Geungnak River flowing beneath the Gwangsin Bridge in Gwangsan-gu. Nowadays, the river water is neither clear nor fast-flowing, and the surrounding scenery has been damaged by indiscriminate development, so it is not possible to fully enjoy the elegance of the past. However, if you sit quietly with your eyes closed, poetry naturally comes to mind, as it is a place of beautiful scenery. In summer, the breeze blowing from the river is cool, and in winter, you can overlook the snow-covered surroundings, reminiscent of a secluded island. Pungyeongjeong was built by Chilgae Kim Eongeo, who retired from his post as a Pan-gyo of Seungmuwon during the reign of King Myeongjong of the Joseon Dynasty, after returning to his hometown.
