Kongyewon is located near the Gwangjin Information Library on Achasanro in Gwangjin-gu. The restaurant is inside an officetel building and has no separate parking lot. It is a restaurant with a great view of the Han River but is more famous for its cheonggukjang flavor. Domestic soybeans are fermented into cheonggukjang using clean water from Pocheon and aged in an okhwang clay room for 2-3 days before cooking. Signature dishes include cheonggukjang, ssam set menu, boiled pork set menu, and grilled short rib patties set menu. Side dishes come with the set menus, including seven types of namul vegetables served with barley rice, eaten like bibimbap. Potato pancakes and acorn jelly are also popular. Nearby are Gwangnaru Hangang Park and Achasan Ecological Park, making it good for a stroll before or after a meal.
Nearby sights and easy walks are shown first so the meal can become part of a route.
