This kiln site, located on a hill at an elevation of 91 to 98 meters southeast of Surisan, was a place where porcelain was fired during the Joseon Dynasty. It sits on a relatively steep rock surface. No related remains other than the kiln have been confirmed in the surrounding area. The kiln consists of seven sections, with a narrow firebox and a wide chimney area, showing the general structure of Joseon white porcelain kilns, but the firebox structure is unique. Mainly bowls and plates were produced, and various types of porcelain such as jar fragments and covered bowls were discovered. Particularly, many fragments of blue-and-white porcelain were found, with characters like 'bok (福)' and 'je (祭)' inscribed on bowls. This indicates that the kiln produced not only everyday vessels but also special-purpose utensils. Similar types of porcelain and kiln structures are found at Geumsari kiln site, a government-operated kiln in Gwangju, Gyeonggi-do, indicating production during the first half of the 18th century and showing the relationship between government and private kilns. Despite severe destruction, the Sanbon-dong kiln site is an important relic of the late Joseon period that demonstrates kiln production methods and the relationship between government and private kilns. Sanbon IC Sports Park is a sports park located in Sanbon-dong, Gunpo-si, Gyeonggi-do. It was established in 2009 under the overpass of the Outer Ring Road Sanbon IC, hence called Sanbon IC Sports Park. It features 3 badminton courts, 6 jokgu courts, 1 basketball court, 1 multipurpose field (roller), and various exercise equipment. A walking path including a foot massage trail has been created around the track.
