Banwol Lake is nestled cozily in the innermost part of Daeya-dong. Completed in 1957, water from Jibye-gol, Saem-gol, and Jibangbawi-gol to the northwest flows southeastward into Banwol Lake. While the neighboring Baegun Lake in Uiwang is exposed and broad, Banwol Lake sits shyly inward like a bashful rural bride, quietly smiling with delicate beauty. Galchi Reservoir, located in Sokdal-dong, Gunpo-si, Gyeonggi-do, was created in 1984 to supply agricultural water. It is near Beombatgol, a valley of Surisan. The fields in this area were once abundant with reeds and were called 'Galti' or 'Galchi,' from which the reservoir's name is derived. Among fishing enthusiasts, it is also known as Sokdalji, but fishing is currently not allowed at this location.
