Gokseong Metasequoia Road is located near the entrance to Gokseong-eup on National Route 17, which connects Gokseong and Gurye. The Metasequoia trees planted along both sides of the road, stretching about 800 meters, create a beautiful landscape. It is also famous as a filming location for the movie "Gokseong," where the main character Jong-gu happily rides with his daughter Hyo-jin on a motorcycle. The Metasequoia trees are planted along both sides of the roadside, so stopping or getting off the car on the road is dangerous. It is recommended to enjoy a slow drive by car.

Gokseong has three famous valleys: Dorimsa Valley, Cheonggye-dong Valley, and Taeansa Valley. Among them, Cheonggye-dong Valley is a representative valley on the north side of Dongak Mountain. This place was also where General Cheonggye Yang Daebak, who participated as the deputy commander under General Gok Gyeongmyeong in the Battle of Geumsan during the Imjin War, raised and led the militia. In summer, clear water flows through the valley, and dense pine forests provide cool shade. The rocks and stones laid on the valley floor are smooth and soft, making it comfortable for sitting and playing. It is a long valley of about 4 km, surrounded by countless large and small ravines with several small waterfalls here and there along the ravines. It is adjacent to the road, making access easy, with abundant water flow, and the slope of the walking trail along the valley is gentle like flat land, making it an ideal summer vacation spot for families. Along Cheonggye-dong Valley is the National Gokseong Healing Forest. The valley is about a 10-minute drive and roughly 8 km from Gokseong Station, near which you can visit the Seomjingang Train Village.
