Jangyu Daecheong Valley is a 6km-long valley formed in two branches on the slopes of Bulmosan Mountain, featuring dense forests and clear water creating beautiful waterfalls. Also known as Jangyu Waterfall, about a 30-minute hike along the valley leads to Jangyu Hermitage, which houses the saritap (relic pagoda) of Jangyu Hoisang, who is said to have first propagated Buddhism in Korea. When Jangyu Waterfall Recreation Park was established in 1984, a bridge and two water facilities were built. Visitors can enjoy both walking and playing in the water, and the valley is famous not only for its scenic natural surroundings but also for restaurants serving baeksuk (chicken soup) nearby. The hiking trail to Yongjibong Peak is well maintained, but cooking and camping are not permitted.
Jangcheok Valley is one of the two major natural valleys in Gimhae, along with Jangyu Daecheong Valley. It is a valley located on the foothills of Sineosan in Sangdong-myeon, Gimhae-si, where a recreational area has naturally formed. The valley water flowing from Dongbong Gorge is deep and clear, harmonizing with dense forests and large rocks to create a beautiful natural landscape. Naturally grown trees provide shade, making it a comfortable place to rest, and Gimhae-si has implemented stream maintenance like a dam to create an environment suitable for water play. Visitors can leisurely enjoy hiking the mountains and the valley while experiencing a rural atmosphere, making it a popular destination for family vacationers.
