錦山（クムサン）は高麗人参生産の本拠地で、全国生産量のおよそ80％が取引される韓国最大の高麗人参市場です。また高麗人参をはじめ韓方薬を取り扱う薬令市場としても急成長している市場です。市場内には長年続く在来市場、さまざまな高麗人参や健康補助製品を取り扱う錦山人参国際市場、錦山水参センター、錦山人参ホテルショッピングセンター、錦山薬草デパートなどがあります。この市場では他の地域に比べて各種人参類・薬草などをおよそ二割から五割安ほどのお得な価格で買い求めることができます。毎月2、7、12、17、22、27日に市が立つ錦山場（クムサンジャン）では午前2時から、韓国各地から仲買人や一般の人々が殺到し大変な賑わいとなります。
