Geumgang Botanical Garden is Korea's first botanical garden operated by a private individual, established to provide a place of rest for Busan citizens. It has approximately 2,300 species of plants, including about 560 species of tropical plants with around 20 species of palms and 540 species of succulents such as cacti. Within the garden, beautiful plants create a scenic view, and there are various artworks using natural stones and facilities for rest, making it not only a place of emotional relaxation for urban residents but also a venue for botanical research and education. The garden features an artificial waterfall, natural stones, landscaping works, and a greenhouse where visitors can enjoy a diverse range of plants and a wonderful atmosphere. Nearby Geumgang Park operates a cable car, and also hosts excellent tourist attractions including the Busan Folk Art Museum, which preserves and continues traditional performances like Dongnae Yaryu and Dongnae Hakchum, and the Busan Marine Natural History Museum, the country's first specialized marine natural history museum.
