학동자동차야영장은 학동몽돌해변의 건전한 캠핑문화 보급을 위해 국립공원관리공단이 2013년 6월 각종 부대시설을 갖춰 현대식으로 구성한 캠핑장이다. 사이트 옆에 주차를 할 수 있는 오토캠핑 103동, 일반야영장 71동 총 174동 공간이 마련되어 있으며 샤워장, 식기세척실, 전기시설, 친환경체험시설, 와이파이존 등 야영객들의 편의를 위한 시설이 다양하게 마련되어 있다. 또한 학동몽돌해변, 외도, 바람의 언덕, 해금강, 신선대 등 경남의 유명 여행지가 집결되어 있어 ‘야영’과 ‘탐방’ 두 가지를 즐길 수 있다.

Geoje Natural Recreation Forest is situated on Nojasan Mountain and is dominated by broadleaf trees such as maple, oak, gorosoe, and nogak trees, making spring's fresh greenery, summer's lush foliage, and autumn's colorful leaves beautiful. From the observatory at the mountain peak, visitors can enjoy the refreshing and expansive views of the small and large islands of Hallyeohaesang National Park and the archipelago. Its excellent accessibility to nearby tourist attractions and diverse experiences make it an enjoyable place for families. Accommodation facilities include forest cottages, condo-style forest culture recreation halls, and forest training centers. The forest culture recreation hall has seminar rooms widely used for student and company workshops. Well-built camping decks are available in the forest with abundant trees providing shade even at midday, offering a sense of unity with nature while camping. There is also a wooden culture experience center for children, where they can play and engage in activities to get familiar with wood.

거제시 동부면 학동리의 14번 국도변에 위치한 이 동백숲은 천연기념물 제233호로 지정돼 있다. 팔색조는 매년 6월 중순경에 찾아와 보금자리를 마련하는데, 새소리가 특이해서 소리만 듣고도 팔색조임을 알 수 있다. 또한 사시사철 윤기 나는 상록수림인 동백숲은 11월부터 이듬해 6월까지 꽃이 피며, 개화한 꽃은 10여 일 만에 낙화한다. 햇빛을 받으면 은빛을 발산하는 동백 군림은 양봉업자들의 월동을 위한 곳이기도 하다.

Hakdong Black Pearl Pebble Beach covers an area of 30,000㎡, with a length of 1.2 km and a width of 50 m, located in the southern part of Geoje Island. The clear and clean water of the South Sea causes waves that roll the pebbles, creating a beautiful sizzling sound, which was selected as one of Korea's 100 natural sounds. Unlike other beaches on the South Sea, the water depth here is deep, and the waves are rough, requiring some caution, but the beach is well equipped for marine leisure activities such as banana boating. Additionally, from the pier located within Hakdong Black Pearl Pebble Beach, tourists can take a cruise to Haegumgang, known as the Diamond of the Sea, and Oedo, adorned with various exotic tropical forests. It is a must-visit spot for tourists coming to Geoje Island, even if not for swimming. In spring and autumn, visitors to Haenyeohaesang National Park, including Haegumgang, come by sea, and in summer, vacationers gather from all over the country.

소나무가 울창해 가을철마다 학이 찾아오니 학골 또는 학동이라 하였다. 학동에는 몽돌해수욕장을 비롯해 약 3km의 해안을 따라 천연기념물 제 233호인 동백림 야생군락지가 펼쳐져 있고, 특히 6월과 9월 사이에는 거제에만 서식하는 희귀조인 팔색조가 유명하다. 봄, 가을에는 해금강을 비롯한 한려해상국립공원의 해상관광객이, 여름에는 피서객이 전국에서 모여든다.
