The route from Chojijin, reached by crossing the Choji Bridge, passing through Deokjinjin and Gwangseongbo, to Gapgotdondae was a fierce battlefield during the foreign invasions of the late Joseon period, including the Byeonginyangyo and Shinmiyangyo. At Chojijin, there is even a pine tree bearing traces of cannonball impacts from that time. This journey is Course 2 of the Ganghwa Nadeul-gil, gradually exploring Ganghwa Island's military defense relics.
