Chungyongsa Shrine is a shrine enshrining Uidang Park Sehwa. Park Sehwa is a patriotic martyr who committed suicide after being deeply grieved by the injury caused by Japanese and Korean medicine. On March 1, 1962, he was posthumously awarded the Order of Merit for the Founding of the Republic of Korea, and at Chungyongsa Shrine, Hoe-dang Yoon Eung-seon, Jik-dang Shin Hyeon-guk, and Myeongwa Jeong Gyu-hae are commemorated. In 1964, the then Eumseong county magistrate Yoo Yong-gi, with the cooperation of local Confucian scholars, established the shrine. The shrine building has a front width of four kan and a side length of one and a half kan, with a gabled roof and a plaque reading Chungyongsa. It features a three-arched gate called Gwangjemun and a stone and earth mixed wall. Next to the Chungyongsa wall stands the monument commemorating Uidang Park Sehwa’s death.
