📍 Gyeonggi-do Dongducheon-si Tapdong-dong
Tapdong Valley flows for 6 km between Wangbangsan Mountain and Guksabong Peak (754m) to the north. The name Tapdong comes from the area having had a three-story stone pagoda and a stone Buddha dating back to the late Goryeo period; the pagoda was lost during the Japanese occupation, and only the stone Buddha remains. Tapdong Valley is so scenic it is nicknamed 'the Mujugucheondong of Dongducheon.' Along the valley, uniquely shaped rock formations such as Nangbawi, Adeulbawi, Cheungdae Rock, Julbawi, and Sohacheon stream are found, making this the Tapdong Recreation Area.
