Located by the Namhangang River at the Danyang waterfront special stage, Yangbaek Waterfall across the river is an artificial waterfall consisting of one main waterfall 70m high that pumps and flows water from Chungju Lake and four auxiliary waterfalls. The name Yangbaek Waterfall comes from combining Taebaek and Sobaek. The waterfall flows three to four times a day in three streams, proudly displaying a grand water flow that makes it hard to believe it is artificial. In the distance, Yangbangsan Observatory with a paragliding launch site on the mountaintop is visible. The riverside parking lot near the special stage offers a great view and attracts many people for car camping. Nearby are Gugyeong Market and Sogari Maeuntang Street, offering a rich variety of food and sightseeing. Laser lighting capable of producing various light effects is installed at the main and auxiliary waterfalls, making it beautiful not only during the day but also at night, and it is famous as a nighttime attraction in Danyang.
Neurimbo River Trail is a 16.1 km walking path along the Namhan River, consisting of five themes: Sambong-gil, Seokmun-gil, Geumgung-gil, Sangsang Street, and Suyanggae History and Culture Road. You can also enjoy numerous natural scenic spots such as Dodam Sambong, Seokmun, and Geumgul. The relatively gentle ridge path makes it easy for anyone to walk. Among them, Sangsang Street, the 4th course of Neurimbo River Trail, is a promenade stretching from the Gosudaegyo area to Sogeumjeong Park. It features neatly paved wooden decks for comfortable walking, various flowers along the waterside, and a long rose tunnel, with a full view of the towering Mancheonha Skywalk on the mountain peak. After sunset, lights along the mountain show the beautiful nightscape of Danyang. The ordinarily simple Gosudaegyo Bridge transforms completely at night, with railing lights illuminating the walkway, allowing strolling until late. Nearby is the largest traditional market in Danyang-gun, Gugyeong Market, offering various foods and many comfortable good accommodations.
The Danuri Center, standing tall along the winding Namhan River, is a landmark of Danyang. It is the country's largest freshwater ecological aquarium, housing 234 species and over 23,000 freshwater fish from Korea and abroad, swimming gracefully in various tanks including a large aquarium reaching 8 meters in height. Visitors can enjoy a magical underwater journey encountering diverse domestic freshwater fish such as the native Namhan River fish Hwangssogari, Euneo, and Napjaru, as well as rare foreign freshwater fish like the protected Hongryong from China, believed to bring health and luck, and the Amazon giant Pirarucu. Additionally, the Danuri Aquarium's tanks are themed around the Danyang Palgyeong, providing another visual attraction. Above all, its location next to the Danyang intercity bus terminal makes it easy to find and highly accessible, attracting many visitors.
Danuri Center 4D Experience Hall is located on the basement first floor inside Danuri Center, next to Danyang Intercity Bus Terminal. It is a space where you can fully enjoy the virtual world with 16 seats per hall, totaling 48 seats across 3 halls, and includes a chroma key weather forecast experience hall. Two 4D video programs, Happy Family Ride (4 minutes) and Sub Coal Mine Train (8 minutes), are shown six times daily, providing fun and curiosity for children. For safety reasons related to 4D effects, children under 7 years old (preschool), pregnant women, and elderly individuals are restricted from entry. Besides the 4D experience hall, Danuri Center also offers a Danuri Aquarium and Byulbyeol Story Hall with various attractions and experiences, with discounts available for combined tickets. Additionally, using the Danuri Center underground parking allows for 2 hours free parking, and if full, the public parking lot next to the building can be used for free.
