In Danyang-gun, there are five-day markets such as Danyang Market, Yeongchun Market, and Maepo Market, with Danyang Market being the largest among them. Danyang Market is the biggest traditional market in Danyang-gun, Chungcheongbuk-do, held on the 1st and 6th of every month. Like other markets, various agricultural and marine products, daily necessities, and manufactured goods fill the stalls, but vegetables and beans grown by local elderly farmers and wild greens gathered from Sobaeksan Mountain evoke hometown nostalgia. Visitors can also see old-fashioned household items (such as cham-bit, brooms, and mangtaegi) rarely found in large department stores or supermarkets. Especially popular are garlic dumplings stuffed with a filling kneaded with homemade garlic oil. ◎ Travel info to enjoy the charm of Korean Wave: ENHYPEN visited Danyang Market first in their own content . The market is filled with foods to taste in Danyang, including black garlic fried chicken that Sunwoo eagerly anticipated from the taxi, rice crackers, pancakes, makgeolli, and neungi duck soup.
