This Seowon was established to honor the Goryeo founding meritorious subjects Taesa Chungnyeolgong Jeon Igap and Chungganggong Jeon Uigap brothers. They fought against Gyeon Hwon's army at Dongsu in Palgongsan, protected King Taejo Wang Geon, and heroically died alongside generals such as Jangjeolgong Sin Sung-gyeom, leaving their spirits for posterity. Later, King Taejo deeply mourned and posthumously honored Jeon Igap as Tonghabsamhangae Gukgongshin Taesa Chungnyeolgong and Jeon Uigap as Sijung Gae Gukgongshin Chungganggong. Their loyal devotion was taught in the ministries of Military, Rites, and others and conveyed to the Joseon dynasty. In 1864 (Gojong 8), the Seowon was abolished under the order to close Seowons; after that, it was restored as a memorial shrine and halls to honor their loyalty. It was restored as a Seowon in 1989. The site covers about 800 pyeong with one compound and three buildings. In the courtyard, there is a 1000-year-old ginkgo tree protected as Dalseong-gun Monument No. 8-1. (Source: Daegu Trip Road)
