In Nam-gu, Daegu, there is Apsan Mountain with an elevation of 660m. Apsan is flanked by Sanseongsan (653m) and Daedeoksan (546m) on its sides. The park is created in the north valley of these three mountain ridges and is called Apsan Park. It has been developed as a park since 1970 and underwent another 10-year development plan starting in 1981. It is the largest urban natural park in Daegu, covering 5.08 million pyeong. A cable car operates with a total length of 790m up to near the summit. At the foothills, there are an archery range, a riding arena, and a swimming pool, as well as a monument for poet Lee Ho-woo and the Nakdonggang Victory Memorial Hall built in 1979. The large Gol Daedeok Hills boast excellent landscaping facilities, making it popular for family outings and young couples' dates. Daegu Apsan Park offers various walking trails befitting its name as a leisure space for Daegu citizens. Essentially, there are walking trails starting from Daegu Apsan Park connecting to Apsan Mountain, trails from the park to Sanseongsan, and trails linked with Daedeoksan. These diverse trails range from 2km to 4km, allowing visitors to choose according to their preference and stamina. Taking the cable car up to the Apsan Observatory provides a panoramic view of Daegu city.
Anjirang Gopchang Alley is located midway on the road connecting Anjirang five-way intersection to Ap-san Anjiranggol. It is an alley lined with marinated gopchang (grilled intestines) restaurants that started around 1979 with Chungbuk Restaurant and expanded after the 1998 IMF crisis as more livelihood businesses emerged, continuing to the present. It serves as a place of rest that ordinary people can enjoy without burden and has recently developed into a youth-led vibrant street. In 2012, it was selected as one of the top five food theme streets nationwide under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
