Duryu Park is located in Dalseo-gu, the center of Daegu Metropolitan City, and is the largest park in Daegu. In 1977, Daegu city created this 500,000-pyeong park, which features a large outdoor concert hall, a cultural arts center, library, sports facilities such as a baseball stadium, tennis courts, and a swimming pool, as well as memorial facilities like the 2.28 Memorial Tower and the Person Hill. The 83 Tower, located at the summit of Duryusan, is a landmark of Daegu with an observation deck 200 meters high offering panoramic views of Daegu city. Seasonal events include a cherry blossom festival in spring, cooling amenities such as fountains and a swimming pool in summer, autumn foliage viewing spots in fall, and an ice skating rink within the park for winter enjoyment. From the north entrance, Duryu Station on Subway Line 2 is about 500 meters away, and from Seobu Jeongryujang Station on Line 1, it is about 600 meters to Seongdang Pond in the southwest edge of the park, making accessibility excellent.

Duryu Water Purification Plant was built in 1969 and supplied 200,000 tons of tap water daily to about one million households in Suseong-gu, Nam-gu, Jung-gu, and Dalseo-gu of Daegu Metropolitan City. It was closed in August 2009 and left abandoned. However, from February 2018, Dalseo-gu Office opened the former site as a resting area for citizens, and it is now sometimes called a park. Nearby is the Kolon Outdoor Music Hall. The current site still retains the old plant management facilities, which are well maintained, providing a resting place as well as space for exercise and walking. During the summer, a free water play area is opened, receiving positive reviews from residents.

E-World is a theme park that began reconstruction with tower construction and comprehensive theme park development in October 1987, finalized its master plan in 1993, and opened in March 1995. It is designed as a European-style urban park decorated with waterfalls, fountains, lighting, and flowers, offering rides, exhibition and art spaces, and clean dining areas for all ages. E-World provides various plazas according to different themes, offering visitors new experiences and enjoyment. Notable spaces include the Entrance Plaza located at the entrance, the Central Plaza in the center of the land, the Children's Plaza for kids, and Young Town Plaza for youth.

The 83 Tower (Daegu Tower) is the sky palace symbolizing Daegu, featuring an observatory with panoramic views of Daegu city, a communication promotion center, a science museum, and a special exhibition hall. It also offers hotel-style services with three major steak houses and a food court where the whole family can enjoy without burden. Visitors can see different seasonal landscapes from the observatory. While there is an elevator, walking up along the Starlight Road allows you to enjoy beautiful night views. Inside the building, there are various photo zones to capture precious memories.

대명공연거리는 계명대학교 대명캠퍼스 주변 연극 극단, 음악가, 개인 화실, 게임 제작·배급 업소, 예술기획사, 악기사 등 다양한 장르의 예술인 및 예술 단체가 생기기 시작하여 공연문화 특화거리로서 자생적 기반을 마련하고 다양한 예술 활동을 펼치고 있다. 매년 로드페스티벌을 개최하여 대명동 극단 연극 공연 및 유명 외부 작품 초청 공연, 뮤지컬·무용·댄스 등 다양한 장르의 거리공연으로 공연문화중심지로서 자리매김하고 있다. 2017년 공연 거리의 이미지를 강화하고자 명칭을 ‘대명공연문화거리’에서 ‘대명공연거리’로 변경하였다. 또한 대명공연거리의 랜드마크이자 2018년 2월 개관한 대명공연예술센터는 지하 아카데미홀, 공연정보관, 연극 전시체험관, 공연 IT 체험관 등이 조성되어 있으며 배우 및 전문인력 육성 프로그램 등 다양한 문화콘텐츠 사업을 진행 중이다.
