Chan Saem Village is a village preserved in its pristine natural state, receiving the spirit of Nogosan Mountain amid the clear water of Daecheong and fresh air. Chan Saem Village awakens the five senses in nature and uses a theme-centered integrated approach utilizing village spaces and resources to create agricultural, ecological, craft, and food culture experience themes. It runs programs tailored to the learning levels of each school grade to provide educational farming experiences beyond what is encountered in school. Learning facilities include a butterfly area, stag beetle zone, animal farm, frogs, natural craft room, food culture learning center, potato field, sweet potato field, rice learning field, grape field, peach orchard, and forest playground. In Chan Saem Village, there are the Daejeon Gwangyeoksi monuments Nogosanseong and Seongchisanseong, and from the summit of Nogosan, the view of Daecheongho is exquisite. Nearby are Gyejoksanseong, Jikhyeonseong, Masandong Sanseong, Gyeondusanseong, and Baekgolsanseong visible across Daecheong Dam.
