Chwibaekjeong is a Joseon Dynasty cultural asset located near Daecheong Dam on the Geumgang River. Originally, it was an annex building of Miho Seowon, built in 1701 (27th year of King Sukjong). After its construction, Song Gyuryeom (1630–1709) of Jewoldang gathered disciples here to teach scholarship. Song Gyuryeom was highly learned and was called one of the 'Three Songs' along with Song Siyul and Song Jungil. After his death, he was bestowed the posthumous title 'Munhui.' Recognizing its value, this place was designated as a cultural property of Daejeon Metropolitan City on March 18, 1989. Additionally, it is situated atop a hill on the Geumgang riverbank, offering a beautiful view overlooking the Geumgang. Chwibaekjeong can be accessed via National Road No. 17 and Provincial Road No. 32 through Daecheong-ro and Daecheong-ro 526beon-gil. The nearest highways are Gyeongbu Expressway Shintanjin IC and Dangjin-Yeongdeok Expressway Munui Cheongnamdae IC. Nearby tourist attractions include Daecheong Dam, Geumgang Lohas Daecheong Park, Cheongnamdae, and Yongho-dong Paleolithic site.
