The Chungju Tappyeong-ri Seven-story Stone Pagoda is believed to have been built during the Unified Silla period. It is the tallest extant Silla stone pagoda and consists of a large earthen base, pedestal, body of the pagoda, and a top section, reflecting the Unified Silla stone pagoda style well. To prevent collapse from floods and other damage, a tall earthen base was constructed before erecting this standard-type pagoda, with the pedestal being wider than the body. The pedestal parts were assembled from several stones, with each upper and lower stage having four square columns (tangju) on the face stones. The body also consists of several stones arranged to taper and overlap toward the top, and the roof stone supports have five layers on each story. The top section consists of a two-tiered base acting as a pedestal, above which stands a convex cylindrical stone, topped with an angwha stone.

Chungju Jungangtap Park is home to the Seven-story Stone Pagoda in Tappyeong-ri (National Treasure), set before the beautiful scenery of the Namhangang River. The stone pagoda was built during the Unified Silla period and was the largest stone pagoda at that time. Because of its location in the middle of the nation, it was called Jungangtap (jungang means middle in Korean). The area around the pagoda was made into a sculpture park.

The National Treasure, the 7-story stone pagoda of Chungju Tappyeong-ri, is a stone pagoda from the Unified Silla period that harmonizes well with the beautiful scenery of the Namhan River. It is the largest among stone pagodas built at that time, and is also called Jungangtap because it is located in the central part of Korea. Around Jungangtap, there is a sculpture park on a wide lawn, and the Chungju Museum and Liquor Museum are located nearby. Additionally, Tanggeum Lake, formed by the Namhan River and the adjacent Jojeongji Dam, offers water leisure activities in summer, presenting Chungju as a resort and leisure sports destination. 중앙탑의상실은 중앙탑공원 내 위치하고 있으며 충주체험관광센터에서 운영하고 있다. 한복, 개화기, 교복, 캐릭터 등 다양한 의상을 구비하고 있어 인근에 위치한 중앙탑공원과 다양한 포토스팟을 활용하여 사진을 찍을 수 있다. 중앙탑공원 내 곳곳에 있는 포토존과 탄금호를 배경으로 사진을 남길 수 있는 체험 관광지이다.

Chungju Tangeumho Picnic Park is a space redeveloped from a previously idle camping site to enjoy barbecue and fire gazing while taking in the scenery of Tangeumho Lake. Located by the open waterside of Tangeumho, this place offers a relaxing spot in nature, attracting various age groups including families, couples, and friends. The picnic area features barbecue grills for enjoying barbecue time and fire pits for soothing stress by staring into the burning wood fire.
