Introduction

충주 시민의 숲은 도심 속 시민의 휴식 공간 확충과 도시 녹지 기능 강화를 목적으로 충북 충주시 호암근린공원 일원에 조성된 약 10㏊ 규모의 대규모 도시숲 공원이다. 공원 내부에는 소망의 언덕과 산수유원 등 약 23개의 테마숲이 조성되어 있고 메타세콰이아숲길과 대왕참나무숲길을 포함한 약 1.9㎞ 외곽 순환 산책로가 조성되어 있어 사계절 산책과 휴식을 즐길 수 있도록 조성되어 있다. 또한, 누구나 뛰어놀며 여가활동을 즐길 수 있는 즐길 수 있는 약 4,500㎡의 넓은 다목적 잔디광장을 비롯하여 주차장과 화장실 등 부대시설이 함께 있어 시설을 이용하는 많은 시민들께 쾌적하고 아름다운 녹색공간을 제공하고 있다.
