Along the lake, the tranquil lakeside scenery combines with mountains including Samaksan to create a landscape akin to a painting. Along the road, there are many attractions such as the Animation Museum, Puppet Theater, and Soyanggang Maiden Statue.

An exotic arboretum themed 'A Small Europe Meeting in the Forest,' spanning approximately 163,500㎡, preserving the natural terrain as much as possible and creating 24 themed gardens. Visitors can experience European sensibilities throughout, including the Italian Tuscany-style visitor center at the entrance, an English border garden designed with an English flowerbed, and the Italian Wedding Garden featuring Italian garden style and waterways. The walking paths around the arboretum are divided mainly into the Wood Scent Path and the Forest Breeze Path. The central Wood Scent Path is covered with wood chips and provides good access to various themed gardens. The Forest Breeze Path is lush with trees and cool, making it pleasant for walking in summer. Each course takes about 40–60 minutes one way and connects intermittently. All courses start at the ticket office and end at either the Gardener's Cottage or Sky Garden at the highest point. Facilities such as the Honeybee Cottage cafe and Studio Jade (Gift shop) are available along the way. Night openings are held seasonally, and shuttle buses run between Gyeongchun Line Gulbongsan Station and the arboretum.

Seasonal colorful flowers bloom and fall, offering unique scenery and enjoyment. In spring, visitors can enjoy flowers along the cherry tree path and azalea garden; in summer, cool moments at the fountain plaza and metasequoia forest; in autumn, chrysanthemum exhibitions; and in winter, a warm glass greenhouse with fresh greenery. The arboretum also operates a Forest Museum, featuring permanent exhibitions on the flora and fauna of Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province, mountain village life, a special exhibition hall, and a 3D video room. The aquatic plant garden with a pond, artificial waterfall, and pavilion, along with the children's garden—a natural playground for kids—are must-see highlights of the arboretum.
The Soyang River Maiden Statue is a sculpture located between the Soyang River Skywalk and Soyang 2-gyo, symbolizing the song 'Soyang River Maiden.' The pedestal is 5m tall, the statue itself is 7m, making the total height 12m, which can be fully appreciated up close. The maiden statue standing on the waterside deck holds her skirt with one hand and reeds with the other, with her garment strings fluttering in the wind. The pedestal is inscribed with lyrics. Lyricist Bannyaweol, famous for songs like 'Crying Over Bakdaljae' and 'Mia Ridge of Farewell,' wrote the lyrics of 'Soyang River Maiden,' inspired by the scenery of the Soyang River.
