Cheongyang Jeongsan Market is a medium-sized commercial building-type market established in 1919. Jeosan (苧山) means 'a mountain where ramie grows,' referring to Jeosan Pal-eupjang. In the past, eight areas of Seocheon-gun were called Jeosan Pal-eup (苧山八邑), each hosting a ramie market trading Hansan ramie. The market days at Jeongsan Market in Seojeong-ri, Jeongsan-myeon, Cheongyang-gun are on the 5th and 10th of each month. Around Jeongsan Market, Chiseongcheon (致城川) flows to the east, and Chilgapsan (七甲山) is located to the west. Nearby natural villages include Gwadi (Gua-dae, Jeongsan), Mulan-i (Suchon), and Okgori, making it good for connected tourism.
