Jicheon is a stream originating from Chilgapsan Mountain, flowing through Eulha Stream and Jakcheon to form Jicheon before emptying into the Geum River. The gorge through which Jicheon passes is famous for its outstanding scenery. Along the winding watercourse, bizarre rocks stand guard harmoniously and beautifully, hence the name Jicheon Gugok. This area is an ecological treasure where fish species such as Dongsa-ri, Miho minnow, and freshwater crabs live. Especially, the water flow is gentle and shallow, making it a popular spot for summer water play. Kkachinae Valley and Mullebanganggan Recreation Area attract many tourists. The scenery visible from traveling by car along the road is also excellent.

Janggoksa Temple, located on the Chilgapsan mountain hiking trail, is said to have been first built by Bojoseonsa Chejing in 850 (during the Silla Munseong King era) and has undergone repeated restorations over the centuries. The temple is simple and neat. Inside the temple, the differently styled and oriented Sangdaeungjeon and Handaeungjeon halls catch the eye. The structure features the Sangdaeungjeon appearing after climbing stairs beside the lower Handaeungjeon. The treasure-designated Handaeungjeon is a dapo-style building with a gable roof, three kan wide at the front and two kan deep at the sides, housing the Gilt-bronze Yaksa Buddha Statue (treasure). The treasure-designated Sangdaeungjeon, with a hip-and-gable roof and the same dimensions, enshrines the Iron Yaksa Buddha Statue (national treasure). Including these, Janggoksa possesses two national treasures and four treasures. From Sangdaeungjeon, with green mountains behind and the Jicheon Gugok waterway below, all worldly worries wash away instantly. There is also an over 850-year-old ancient tree worth noting. Especially, the Janggoksa Cherry Blossom Road, along a spiral road, is selected as one of Korea’s 100 beautiful roads, forming a tunnel of cherry tree branches that creates a magical atmosphere when the blossoms bloom in spring.
Muryangsa, a thousand-year-old temple located in Oesanmyeon, Buyeo-gun, Chungnam, is nestled at the foot of Mansu Mountain. Founded by Ven. Beomil during the reign of King Munmu of Silla, it has undergone several restorations to the present day. As the nation's foremost Amitabha prayer site, after passing through the Four Heavenly Kings Gate, the principal building, Muryangsa Geungnakjeon, designated as a treasure, comes into view. The Four Heavenly Kings Gate offers the best view of Muryangsa’s beauty, with the two-story Geungnakjeon without floor separation, the five-storied stone pagoda (treasure), and the stone lantern (treasure) lined up in a spectacular row. The Geungnakjeon houses the magnificent Amitabha Buddha triad statue (treasure). Muryangsa is also where Kim Si-seup, a member of the six martyred ministers known as Saengyuksin, passed away. His stupa and portrait are within the temple grounds. Although administratively part of Buyeo-gun, it is closer to Boryeong city center.
Lotte Outlet Buyeo is an outlet located within the Baekje Cultural Complex. It is a complex shopping theme park where the nature, culture, art, leisure, and shopping of Baekje coexist with tradition and modernity. To highlight this feature, the exterior of the building incorporates fortress walls and roof tiles traditional to the Baekje period, and the interior is designed as a space where visitors can experience Baekje-era culture and art while shopping in nature. In addition, various brands are permanently available at discounted prices all year round. On weekends and holidays from 11 AM to 8 PM, a Watman mini train operates for children. Around the outlet, there are resorts, golf courses, and the Baekje Cultural Complex, allowing visitors to enjoy culture, shopping, and leisure all at once. Nearby attractions include Baekje Cultural Complex, Baekmagang Leisure Park, and the Korea Traditional Culture University.
