Cheonjusan is a mountain spanning Changwon-si, Gyeongsangnam-do and Chilwon-myeon, Haman-gun, with a name meaning 'holding up the sky.' It has been called various names such as Cheongryongsan, Damsan, and Jakdaesan from the past. It was also the place where Heo Mok, a famous Joseon-era statesman, retired from office and stayed. One of Cheonjusan's representative natural attractions is Dalcheon Valley, which combines dense forests, vast rock slabs, and clear clean valley water, serving as a summer retreat for citizens. In spring, Cheonjusan transforms into an azalea colony. Every April, the azaleas bloom fully, and an azalea festival is held, attracting many visitors. From the summit of Cheonjusan, there is an open panoramic view of Changwon city, which is a reason many people visit.
