Gagopa Kkoburang-gil Mural Village was established in December 2013 along the alleys connecting about 30 households in Chusan-dong and Seongho-dong. The walk begins at the intersection of Seonghoseo10-gil and Seonghoseo2-gil, where a mural features the faces of artists connected to Changwon, such as sculptor Moon Shin and poet Cheon Sang-byeong, carved into the likeness of Mount Rushmore's giant stone faces, making it easy to find. The alley and stairs, about 450 meters long, are filled with various paintings. At the end of a short stone staircase painted in rainbow colors is a century-old well used by villagers since 1910. Next to this well overlooking Masan Port is the water-carrying mural, the best photo spot in the village. Other murals include one reminiscent of Mondrian's works, a fish mural symbolizing a gateway to success, and a wall decorated like a café entrance. These pretty paintings scattered throughout the narrow alleys make for a joyful walk. When visiting Gagopa Kkoburang-gil Mural Village, please remember it is a residential area and refrain from actions that invade privacy. (Source: Changwon Tourism)
