매년 5월 ‘세계인의 날’을 기념해 열리는 「제21회 부산세계시민축제」는 세계 도시문화를 한자리에서 즐길 수 있는 부산 대표 글로벌 축제이다. 올해는 부산항 개항 150주년을 맞아 5월 23일(토) 11:00~18:00 북항친수공원에서 개최되며, 주한대사관과 주부산 재외공관, 외국인 커뮤니티 등이 참여해 K-컬처와 세계 도시문화를 전시·체험·공연으로 다채롭게 선보인다. 특히 세계도시 디저트 존과 K-컬처 존을 특화 구성해 국내외 관광객의 다양한 취향과 수요를 반영한 프로그램을 운영하며, 부산 시민은 물론 누구나 함께 즐길 수 있는 축제로 꾸며진다. 또한 부산 첫 공연인 동미자전거 음악단, BeFM 특집방송(김조한 출연), 외국인 K-POP 경연대회 등 다채로운 프로그램으로 부산의 매력을 전한다.
