Hwamyung Ecological Park is the riverside area from the second Nakdonggang Bridge in Gupo-dong, Buk-gu on the left bank of the Nakdong River to Daedonghwamyung Bridge in Geumgok-dong; it has the smallest area among the Nakdonggang estuary riverside areas. Adjacent to Hwamyung New Town, it offers good accessibility for residents and has various sports facilities including baseball and soccer fields, tennis courts, basketball courts, and inline skating rinks (11 types, 38 courts). At the lowest part, there are lotus wetlands, an aquatic botanical garden, walking trails, and decks ideal for rest and nature experiences. It also features a watersports town, outdoor swimming pool, and Hwamyung pier, providing a space to enjoy diverse water leisure activities.
