봄이 되면 공원 둘레를 따라 벚꽃이 부드럽게 이어지고, 굴포천과 맞닿은 수변 산책로까지 연결되어 인천 부평구 생활권 안에서 계절의 변화를 가장 또렷하게 느낄 수 있는 도심 공원이다. 반월놀이공원은 부평구 갈산동 굴포천 변에 자리한 근린공원으로, 공원 산책로와 굴포천을 따라 이어지는 벚꽃길이 자연스럽게 연결되는 것이 큰 특징이다. 굴포천은 갈산동부터 삼산동을 거쳐 부천시까지 이어지는 인천의 숨은 벚꽃 명소로, 작은 하천을 중심으로 좌우로 뻗은 벚꽃 터널이 만들어진다. 위쪽 산책로에서 풍경을 내려다보거나 하천 가까이 내려가 걷는 동선이 모두 가능해 같은 길도 시선에 따라 다른 분위기를 자아낸다. 화려한 관광지보다 일상 가까이에서 쉬어가는 공간을 찾는 방문객에게 알맞다.
