[A mountain of the West Sea with three features: mountain, lake, and sea] The Byeonsan Peninsula, extending toward the West Sea from Buan-eup, is a scenic area with many beautiful spots. For those who want the sea, there are beaches; for mountain climbing, Anbyeonsan; and for enjoying the taste of backpacking, the clear waters of Baekcheon Stream. Unlike typical mountains where ridges extend like rafters, Byeonsan has an outer mountain with an empty interior. The mountain ridge starts from Sangbong Uisangbong (509m) and moves clockwise, forming Juryusanseong (331m), Sangyeobong (390m), Namoknyeobong (433m), Yonggakbong, Sebong, Gwaneumbong (424m), Sinseondae (486m), Mangpodae (492m), and Ssangseonbong (459m). Inside, Baekcheon Stream flows into the Yellow Sea at Haechang, facing Uisangbong. Apart from the narrow neck at Sachangjae connecting to the land, the outside is all sea or former sea land, while the inside is a quiet mountain valley with waterfalls and pools twisting here and there.
