The Shin Kyungseop House is a traditional house located in the northwest of Boryeong-si. This house is a late Joseon Dynasty Korean-style house and is known as the sarangchae (men's quarters) of a wealthy family from that time, constructed using large structural members. The roof is a paljak-style roof with an overall ㄱ-shaped layout. A daecheong (wooden-floored hall) is installed in the middle, with a twima-ru (veranda) in front. The kitchen is located at the left end with an attic above it. In the middle of the sarangchae's hoecheombu, a maru (wooden floor) serves as the daecheong, and a hwabang wall is installed on the front wall. The wood finishing preserves the original dancheong (traditional multicolored paintwork) without change, indicating excellent preservation. Recognized for its value, it was designated as a Chungcheongnam-do cultural asset in 1987 and underwent restoration in 1998. The gatehouse includes a jeongnyeomun (memorial gate) for the filial son Shin Seokbung of the clan. The Shin Kyungseop House is accessible via National Routes 21 and 36, and local Routes 610, 609, Jukseong-ro, and Jangbat-gil, with the Seohaean Expressway Gwangcheon IC, Daecheon IC, and Seocheongongju Expressway Seogongju IC nearby.
