Cheongnyangsan⛰️ 870 m

Introduction

Known as "a single lotus flower," Cheongnyangsan is a famous mountain along the Nakdong River. This comparison is often an exaggeration, but in this case, it is not an overstatement. Cheongnyangsa Temple, nestled among the petals formed by Chugyungbong, Gyungilbong, Bosalbong, and the summit Janginbong surrounding Geumtapbong, feels exceptionally cozy. The mountain is taller than Seoul's Samgaksan and its main peaks resemble rocky formations draped in thin green foliage, creating a beautiful mountainous landscape. Bosalbong is so steep that it requires rock climbing equipment to ascend. Despite this, the mountain's area is small enough to explore within half a day. The view of the Nakdong River from the summit, reached by circling the ridge counterclockwise, is refreshing. Below lies Gwangseok Ferry, considered one of the best scenic spots of the Nakdong River, both in the past and present with the bridge in place. From outside, the mountain looks like a landscape painting. The upper Dwitssil village in Bukgok-ri serves as a viewpoint, where the bluish color of the dark cliff under the glowing sky remains unforgettable.
