Gwanterjang (Gwanki Traditional Market), located in Gwanki-ri, Maro-myeon, Boeun-gun, Chungbuk, is a naturally formed 5-day market. In its early days, it operated as a barter market for grains alongside a cattle market and prospered until the 1970s. However, it gradually declined in the 1980s due to the opening of the distribution industry and sharp decrease in the rural population. It still operates as a 5-day market, and with administrative agencies and the market prosperity association promoting the revitalization of the traditional market, it is slowly recovering its old appearance. Gwanterjang is located 14 km from Boeun and takes about 20 minutes by bus, with direct and city buses operating every 20 minutes. Routes by car include from Daejeon via Okcheon and Yeongdong, from Sangju, and from Cheongju through Miwon and Boeun to Gwanki.
