Samdeok Park, located just a 10-minute walk from Anyang Station, was originally the site of a factory producing printing paper. From 1961 to 2003, Samdeok Paper maintained its business for over 40 years before relocating the factory to another area and donating the land to Anyang City to be made into a public park. To honor this, a model tower reduced to 33% the size of the factory's chimney was installed in the center of the park. True to its origin as a donation for citizens, Samdeok Park has become the closest relaxation space in the city. Facilities such as a playground, a picnic plaza where visitors can enjoy simple food, a ground fountain with cool water streams, and a fitness area provide ample rest for both Anyang residents and city tour tourists.

Opened in the 1960s, the Sundae Gopchang Alley inside Anyang's representative traditional market, Jungang Market, is a famous spot where housewives shopping for dinner ingredients and passersby stop by at least once. The Gopchang Alley, which has protected a market alley for over 35 years, is filled with the delicious aroma emitted by about 30 Sundae (Korean blood sausage) and gopchang (small intestines) restaurants. All sell Sundae Gopchang, stir-fried with spicy seasoning along with pork intestines, glass noodles, cabbage, and perilla leaves at affordable prices, but the taste varies slightly because each uses their own secret seasoning recipe. According to the records of 『Bong-eun Bonmalsaji』 compiled in the 1940s, Manghaeam was first established by Wonhyo Daesa of the Silla period. Later records about Manghaeam appear from the early Joseon period. The standing stone Buddha statue in Yonghwajeon is inscribed with ‘Made in the 15th year of Seonghwa, April (成化十五年 四月 日造成)’, dating the statue to 1479 (10th year of Seongjong). It also appears in the 『Yeojidoseo』 published during King Yeongjo’s reign, the 18th-century work 『Garamgo』 by Sin Gyeong-jun, and the 1843 (9th year of Heonjong) records of 『Seungjeongwon Ilgi』, mentioning ‘Gwanaksan Manghaeam’. Manghaeam was renovated in 1803 (3rd year of Sunjo) and 1863 (14th year of Cheoljong), but was completely destroyed by fire in 1922 and rebuilt. The current Manghaeam was restored after being burned in the Korean War, with additions including Cheonbuljeon and Jijangjeon. The name Manghaeam means ‘Hermitage with a Sea View,’ and from here, you can enjoy the beautiful sunset over the West Sea. It offers a quiet retreat from the harsh urban daily life, allowing for peaceful personal time.
