안성시 대덕면 내리 중앙대학교 안성캠퍼스 입구에 세워진 안성맞춤 박물관은 유기를 중심으로 안성의 풍부한 문화유산을 함께 접할 수 있는 테마박물관이다. 지상 2층, 지하 1층, 총 3층으로 이루어져 있으며, 유기 전시실, 영상실, 기획 전시실, 농업역사실, 향토 사료실, 세미나실, 학예연구실, 수장고 등으로 이루어져 있다. 유기전시실은 유기의 역사, 제작 방법별 유기분류, 유기제작과정 모형, 제기, 반상기, 무구, 불기 등 생활속에 쓰이는 다양한 유기를 전시하고 관람객의 이해를 돕기 위해 곳곳에 영상물을 설치하였다. 특히 터치스크린을 통해 안성의 역사와 문화에 대한 자세한 설명을 볼 수 있다.
태평무 전수관은 평생을 전통무용에 몸 담아온 강선영 선생에 의해 전통문화에 대한 올바른 전승과 보존을 꾀하고, 재능 있는 춤꾼들의 발굴양성과 개방화된 무대를 제공하기 위해 지난 1998년 그의 고향인 안성에 사재를 털어 완성한 문화공간이다.
Mirinae Holy Ground, located about 40 ri north of Anseong in Gyeonggi-do, is named after the beautiful Korean word for the Milky Way. It holds the tomb of Korea's first priest, Father Kim Dae-geon, alongside those of his mother Ursula, Bishop Ferréol (the 3rd bishop of the Joseon Diocese who ordained Father Kim), and Lee Min-sik Vincenzo, who interred Father Kim's body here. The name Mirinae came from Catholic believers who fled here during the Shin-yu and Gi-hae persecutions, forming a faithful village where, at night, lights from houses reflected in the stream under the moonlight appeared like the Milky Way. Originally, Mirinae was part of the initial Catholic mission areas including Gwangju, Siheung, Yongin, Yangpyeong, Hwaseong, and Anseong. When the parish was established in 1896, 50 years after Father Kim's burial, there were about 1,600 believers here. Father Kim, martyred at 26, was denied a funeral by the authorities; after 40 days, Lee Min-sik Vincenzo carefully rescued his body and carried it for a week to Mirinae for burial. Official sanctification works began in 1972, and in 1989 the Great Sanctuary commemorating 103 saints was completed. Upon entering, the central memorial cathedral dedicated to the 103 Catholic saints is first visible. Behind the cathedral, the Stations of the Cross path features 15 bronze sculptures depicting Jesus' capture by Roman soldiers, crucifixion, death, and burial. Visiting the Mirinae Cathedral (housing Father Kim's tomb and mandible), the statue of Father Kim, the Virgin Mary Cathedral, and the Gethsemane Hill (a hill made from natural rock) takes 2 to 3 hours.
Seoil Farm is a place that makes cheonggukjang using healthy ingredients carefully grown with our traditional eco-friendly methods. Fermented soybean blocks made from 100% locally grown soybeans, sun-dried salt without impurities, clean water drawn from the farm’s bedrock spring, and onggi pots that naturally regulate humidity and temperature with sunlight and wind all come together to create the unique flavor of their sauces. All products are made by Master Seo Bunrye, the only certified cheonggukjang master in Korea, offering food that captures nature's healthiness authentically. As a farm that makes doenjang, it is clean and well-sunlit. The 30,000-pyeong farm includes fields for planting soybeans and chili peppers, pear orchards, plum groves, a sauce research lab, a fermented clay room, and cold storage facilities. Over 2,000 earthenware jars for fermentation are lined up. Especially, the traditional restaurant Solli lets visitors enjoy the delicious flavors of Seoil Farm, experiencing the old tastes of Korea forgotten for a moment. The menu centers on hearty cheonggukjang and doenjang stew, accompanied by pickled vegetables like deodeok, gajuk, sesame leaves, persimmon, wild chives, seaweed, dried radish, radish, and seaweed salad, along with chili paste and ssamjang for wraps, and fresh vegetables, offering a simple and neat taste of mother’s hand-cooked food. Seoil Farm also offers a slow food experience program by reservation, where visitors can learn the wisdom of ancestors about food through activities such as cooking soybeans in a cauldron, making sauces, tofu, and cheonggukjang, creating and tasting healthy traditional Korean food themselves in a unique hands-on program only at Seoil Farm.
