안산문화원은 지방문화원진흥법에 의해 설립된 전국 220개 지방문화원중 1984년 5월 안산지역에 설립된 특별공익법인(정부재정지원기관)으로 향토고유문화의 보존 전능사업, 향토유물, 사료의 조사수집과 발굴, 보존활동사업, 지역사회의 교육활동사업, 홍보. 전시활동사업, 지역문화 계발활동사업 등 5대 문화사업을 추진하고 있다.

경기도 안산시 본오동에 위치한 최용신기념관은 애국계몽독립운동가 최용신선생을 기리고자 2007년 11월에 건립한 공립박물관이며 국가보훈처 지정 현충시설이다. 최용신 선생이 샘골마을사람들과 함께 세운 ‘샘골강습소’가 있던 곳에 건립되었으며 지상의 외형은 샘골강습소를 복원한 형태로 하고 내부는 체험전시실과 사무실로 이루어져 있다. 최용선선생의 삶과 상록수 정신을 알리기 위해 상설전시실과 교육 영상실도 마련되어 있으며, 주요 전시 유물은 최용신 선생의 건국훈장, 최용신선생의 유언장, 상록수 초판본(1936년) 등이 있으며, 관련 사진 및 생존제자의 영상에세이, 영화 상록수가 담긴 영상물 등이 있다.

성호기념관은 안산이 낳은 위대한 실학자 성호 이익(1681~1763) 선생의 생애를 기리고, 그 학문적 업적을 계승 발전시키고자 안산시가 건립한 기념관이다. 2002년 5월에 개관했으며 성호 이익 선생이 생전에 남긴 친필과 저서 등 성호의 학문과 사상에 관련한 유물이 전시되어 있다. 주요 전시 유물로는 선생의 친필 시고 및 간찰, 성호선생문집 등의 저서와 퇴계 이황, 미수 허복, 반계 유형원, 다산 정약용 등의 저작물 등을 들 수 있으며, 복제가 아닌 실제 유물을 중심으로 구성되었고, 특히, 개인이나 종중에서 소장하던 상당수 미공개 유물이 전시되어 있다.

2006년 10월 개관한 경기도미술관은 국내외 작가의 전시, 미술품 수집을 비롯해 연구, 교육, 홍보사업 등 프로그램을 운영하면서 다양한 문화 서비스를 제공한다. 특히 전문성과 예술성, 지역성과 세계성이 조화를 이루는 다양한 기획 전시를 통해 미술 문화의 명소로 자리 잡고 있다. 공원 내 생태호수를 배경으로 한 미술관 건물은 전면을 유리로 시공해 맑고 쾌적한 느낌을 주는 한편, 다양한 기획전이 이루어지는 높은 층고의 전시실을 중심으로 현대미술관으로서의 역할을 다하고 있다. 경기도미술관은 프로그램이 알찬 미술관, 새로운 경험과 비전을 제시하는 미래지향적인 미술관, 경기도민은 물론 국내외 미술인이 다시 찾는 현대미술의 메카로 성장하고 있다.

Ansan Reed Wetland is a large-scale artificial wetland created to improve the water quality of Siwaho Lake. The aquatic plants and reeds planted here naturally purify pollutants. This place was developed not only for urban residents who find it difficult to connect with nature to rest in a natural setting but also to observe and learn how the organisms forming the ecosystem inhabit the area. Beyond being a simple park for rest, it also serves as an educational site for ecological environments. Inside the Environmental Ecology Center, exhibits include the history of Siwaho Lake and ecological data related to wetlands, as well as the purification process by reeds. Near the center is the Natural Energy Experience Education Center, where visitors can experience natural energies with low pollution and continuous usability, such as solar, wind, and geothermal energy. The ecological pond offers a variety of aquatic plants each season. Outside the Environmental Ecology Center, the expansive reed wetland observation path is well-maintained with wooden decks to protect the wetland and provide convenience for visitors. Slightly separated from the city, the Reed Wetland Park allows visitors to hear natural sounds such as wind, birds, and water while encountering various wetland species.
