Jonghyeon Rural Experience and Recreation Village is an experience village located in Danwon-gu, Ansan, where you can enjoy various experiences feeling nature close to the city. Jonghyeon Village, reminiscent of a fishing village, reflects the characteristics of the West Coast with a large tidal range, resulting in developed mudflats where mudflat experiences are possible. Through mudflat experiences, you can dig for clams and observe various mudflat ecosystems, making it ideal for family travelers with children. Located in Ansan near the Seoul metropolitan area, visitors can also enjoy a walk along Haesol-gil with family, lovers, and friends for a weekend outing.
Dongju Salt Farm is located in Daebudong-dong 4-ri, surrounded by the sea and mountains on all sides. Daebudo Dongju Salt Farm has long been renowned as a natural salt production site, where concentrated seawater from evaporation ponds is transferred to Onggi plate salt fields to crystallize through wind and solar heat. The salt is made by gathering the sun's heat and the wind's energy from seawater, resulting in high product quality. Established in 1953, it has adhered to traditional methods for salt harvesting and has even supplied salt to the Blue House. At the salt farm experience center, visitors can learn and participate in the process of making natural salt.
Nue Island is a small uninhabited island located near Tando Port, where the tidal flats appear twice a day for four hours each at low tide, allowing visitors to reach the island on foot. The Nue Island Lighthouse Observatory was built near the summit of Nue Island by Ansan City, Gyeonggi-do to offer opportunities for nature study combined with fishing village tourism and to guide the safe operation of fishing boats on the West Sea. The first floor exhibits various pictures and materials related to Nue Island's natural environment, the lighthouse, and the sea; the second floor displays domestic and international lighthouse paintings and models. The third floor features an observatory with panoramic sea views and a lighthouse guiding the safe passage of ships. From the Nue Island Lighthouse Observatory, visitors can enjoy beautiful views of nearby islands including Daebudo, Tando Port, Jeongok Port, and Seongamdo. It is also a popular spot for photographing the wind power plant at Tando Port and the sunset scenery.
