Mansudang is a traditional handmade glutinous rice cake specialty shop located in Gamcheon-myeon, Yecheon-gun, Gyeongsangbuk-do. Based on the belief that food carries memories, a father and son have continued the taste together. Mansudang carefully selects only 100% domestic ingredients without synthetic additives, colorants, or preservatives to create healthy food. Especially, it uses premium local agricultural products from Yecheon, such as native gruepat beans, which have a much richer flavor than regular red beans, and top-grade Baekok glutinous rice, maximizing the original deep taste of the ingredients and the chewy texture in these premium glutinous rice cakes. The core filling (anggeum) uses no commercial products and is carefully cooked for five hours following the traditional cauldron method, producing a mild sweetness without being overpowering. Mansudang, meaning ‘ten thousand touches’ to emphasize the utmost care, operates on a same-day production and sales principle to provide customers with the freshest and finest glutinous rice cakes.
