Gosan Market is a traditional market established in 1964 for the distribution of agricultural, livestock products, and manufactured goods in the Gosan area of Wanju-gun and five nearby myeon. In 2013, Gosan Miso Market was newly built and opened as a cultural tourism-themed market, operating both a traditional five-day market and a permanent market together. The traditional five-day market opens on the 4th and 9th, with shops and street vendors lining both sides of the road, trading local specialties such as dried persimmons, jujubes, garlic, onions, and Korean beef. The permanent Gosan Miso Market operates around a performance hall and plaza, with about 30 workshop-style stores including Korean beef, dairy products, handmade hamburgers, woodcrafts, as well as restaurants and cafes. Notably, services focused on experiences and education are active, with a rest area for local youth and traditional craft experience programs, transforming the market into a complex cultural space.
