Jujeon Village, a traditional farming and fishing village with over 200 years of history, has been using the name Jujeon (朱田) since the 18th century. For the past 30 years, it has been designated as a GB area, boasting an exceptionally clean natural environment unlike other regions in Ulsan. The Jujeon Pass, which crosses the 500-meter-high Bongdae Mountain, was the only gateway, but recent opening of the Maseong Tunnel has improved accessibility, making it a notable urban resort. Along the Jujeon Beach of the East Sea, seven smaller villages form a community of over 300 households. Based on local road 1,027, agriculture is practiced in the mountainous area while fishing is carried out along the coast.
