Balwangsan Cable Car consists of 100 eight-passenger cabins providing safe and speedy round-trip travel over 7.4 km, the longest cable car route in Korea. Located in Mitan-myeon, Pyeongchang, Cheongoksan Yukbaekmajigi is named after the place meaning 'a plain wide enough to sow 600 mal of rice seeds.' It is a vast grassland roughly equivalent to six soccer fields and is already recognized as a famous travel spot in Pyeongchang. Today, Yukbaekmajigi is a mountain summit accessible by car and has become an eco-friendly tourist attraction. Along the mountain road, wind turbines begin to appear along the ridge. The sight of large wind turbines rotating under the open sky presents a picturesque view. The most beautiful season of Yukbaekmajigi is from June to July when the Shasta daisies, called 'fried egg flowers,' bloom in full, covering the wide grassland and making it even more beautiful. There are photo zones scattered throughout, including small castle-shaped sculptures and a rainbow chair where visitors can take pictures with the mountain ridge as a backdrop.
