Soegol Village is a complex space for experiential learning located at the foot of Sabangsan in Paju-si, Gyeonggi-do, where you can enjoy themed activities throughout the four seasons. Known since old times as a deep mountain valley with plenty of grass for feeding cattle, the village name Soegol and the farm's name derive from this history. Along with natural experiential learning, seasonal programs vary and include various folk games. Soegol Village also operates a restaurant for barbecue and meals. Byeokchoji Arboretum, which started in 1997 from the shallow water of Byeokchoji and a few trees, opened in 2005 centered around Byeokchoji Pond. Covering an area of 120,000㎡, it consists of 27 Eastern and Western gardens within 6 distinct themed spaces. The site also features a gallery where visitors can view the 'Byeokchoji Chronicle' and the photo exhibition 'The Four Seasons of Byeokchoji,' as well as a flower shop selling flowers or plants admired during the visit. With over 1,000 species of plants and seasonal changes throughout the year, the arboretum has been featured in many films and dramas annually, including Vincenzo, Hotel Del Luna, Descendants of the Sun, My Love from the Star, and the movie The Handmaiden, offering visitors the unique enjoyment of seeking scenes from these works.
