Jeongeup Gujeolcho Local Garden is located at a place once called Manggyongdae (望景臺). It was developed as a sports park in 2003 and reborn as Gujeolcho Theme Park in 2006. Currently designated as 'Jeollabuk-do's No. 1 Local Garden,' its name was changed, and attractions such as trails, a plaza, and a suspension bridge have been added. Gujeolcho grows naturally on about 5 hectares within the total 12 hectares of the park area at the uppermost reach of the beautiful Okjeongho. It is loved by nearby city residents as a comfortable place for walking and resting and has established itself as a nationwide photo spot and travel destination with a nature-friendly park atmosphere matching the concept of a 'slow tour with pine forest and gujeolcho.'

When you order Korean traditional set meal (hanjeongsik) at Gungjeon Hoegwan, more than 15 dishes are served, representing their hometown 'yukhaegangsan' (land, sea, and river). The skate sashimi, abalone, sea cucumber, croaker, and steamed stingray come from the sea; steamed egg and boiled pork come from the land; deodeok salad and chwinamul herbs come from the mountains; and sweetfish tempura comes from the river. Each side dish reflects the authentic taste of the Namdo region. For a lighter option, there is a regular meal set with fewer side dishes but the same meticulous flavors. The building's urban design both outside and inside is striking, grand like a huge palace from a fairy tale as its name suggests. There are two entrances; the right entrance leads to the Gungjeon wedding hall. It is conveniently located a 10-minute walk from Gokseong bus terminal.

Since April 1999, when the Chipochipo Seomjingang outing tourist train event began as one of the county's major policies, Gojang-ri in Godal-myeon has newly emerged as a tourist attraction in Gokseong-gun. This train operates a 10 km round trip from the old Gokseong Station (Seomjingang Train Village) to Gojang Station, faithfully restored to resemble the steam locomotive that actually ran in the past. Seomjingang Train Village features the clear and clean Seomjingang River, trains running on old tracks (disused lines), two ferry crossings across the river, and the remarkable scene of three lines converging: National Road No. 17, Jeolla Line Railroad, and Seomjingang River. It is Honam's best driving course, surrounded by a lawn plaza, a gazebo, a foot-operated mill, a waterwheel, and a cosmos flower path, forming a fantastic Seomjingang riverside bicycle hiking course. You can leisurely enjoy the scenery created by the fresh green of spring along the Seomjingang and the flowers by the roadside.
