Haenam, located at the southernmost tip of South Korea, is the largest county among the 22 cities and counties of Jeollanam-do, and its market is also the best. There are 114 stores and about 200 street vendors, usually totaling over 300 people, mostly residents within Haenam-gun, as well as visitors from nearby Gangjin, Jindo, Wando, and other places. Additionally, clothing sellers come from Gwangju and Seoul. The traditional market opens on the 1st and 6th of every month and offers a variety of foods, including fresh seafood due to the region's characteristics.
