Pureunmaeul Community Center constantly strives to create "a neighborhood where anyone wants to live, a warm and happy Dong-gu." Opened in December 2018, the center promotes various policy projects to realize grassroots democracy, solve local problems based on village communities, and invigorate resident-participatory social solidarity economy. On the 1st floor, Pureunmaeul Salon exhibits goods from 13 dong villages in Dong-gu, social solidarity economy items, and the Village Sarangchae. It also operates an indoor playground and toy library for children under 7 years old who are not yet in school. The 2nd and 3rd floors provide a shared kitchen, village broadcasting station, and multipurpose rooms available at reasonable prices for Dong-gu residents.
