Hyoheon Shrine is located in Masan-myeon, Gurye-gun, and enshrines the spirit tablets of Dopeonggun, the 12th son of Jeongjong, the 2nd king of the Joseon Dynasty, and his two wives. A bujomyo (auxiliary shrine) is a shrine that houses spirit tablets that are permanently kept and worshipped in the shrine without burial after the death of Odaebongsa, who made significant contributions to the country. Dopeonggun, born in 1402, was known as a filial and intelligent figure. In 1872, Emperor Gojong posthumously conferred upon him the title of Hyoheongong in recognition of his deep filial piety and wisdom. From 1874, his descendants enshrined his spirit tablets in Sado-ri and held rituals, but these were interrupted after 1910 due to surveillance by Japanese forces. After liberation, his descendants resumed the memorial rites. The Seomjingang Fish Ecology Center is 5.6 km away, about a 10-minute drive, and Seosicheon Living Environment Forest (Gurye Kkotgang) is 8.5 km away, approximately 11 minutes by car.
